Aren't these pictures amazing!
Week 4 of half-marathon training is starting out great! I was at a weekend board meeting in Los Angeles and-- Yes I woke up at 6:30am everyday to do my running! I deserve props for that! Especially since I went to sleep later than usual. We were staying right on Venice Beach so the view was beautiful and I got to run down Board Walk Avenue (I think that's what it was called). Did 4 miles Sat./Sun. On Sun. it went especially well... since I had a breakthrough and can now run for 30 minutes without stopping outdoors! That's a huge accomplishment!
The whole thing wasn't that bad... I have to admit. The beach and mountains ahead of me were just amazing. There were also tons of surfers out trying to catch a wave-- which reminded me just how much I want to learn how to surf one day... and just as I was returning back to where we were staying-- and getting ready to stop running I ran past a group of women running together with "roadrunners.com" t-shirts on, and they all smiled and waved at me... and I totally got a second "wind" and was able to make it all the way back without stopping! Hooooooray! Plus I found out that I really love breathing... and oxygen! lol
